Sounds at the broadcast mixing
desk were large (but stereo).
We were attempting to mix
straight Holophone for stereo
- very nice stereo but no
surround!
It is for this reason (amongst
others) that we implemented
our Holophone Virtual Surround
monitoring system, which creates
an instantaneous Holophone
derived "virtual surround"
stereo signal that is available
at both the headphone and
line outputs on our current
PCM-7.
