Pictured here is Jonathan Gourd, using his H-4 SuperMINI at an event called "DucFest" in upstate Michigan. The event was a memorial for a keyboard player who had passed away a few months earlier. Taking place at his widows home, many of this artist's friends spent the weekend jamming and telling stories. Jonathan, an independent sound artist from the Boston area, used his consumer grade 3CCD HD camcorder to document everything and will be releasing the documentary in the coming months. Typically, Jonathan uses a pair of synchronized Edirol R-44 track decks to record 5.1 room tone. In this instance, he used the Dolby encoded inputs to drive the audio jack on the camcorder and occasionally plugged in a shotgun into the centre mic input jack with very good results.
